Rebecca, the sixth child of Peter and Janet Miller was born at Glen Para on the 24 August 1856. She moved to Braeside with the family where she lived for the rest of her life. A list of all children in the family is here.

She was known as Aunty “Beck” by all of the family.

Rebecca was a very strong, domineering person, who did not marry.  She ruled Braeside with justice and efficiency and ran the farm with the help of her nephews after her brothers John and David had died.

Rebecca with Fanny inherited Braeside,  part from their father Peter and the balance from their brother David.

 Rebecca died at Braeside on the 19 September 1933 aged 77 years and was buried in the South Rhine Cemetery.
