Dennis Robert Jenkins was born in Adelaide in 1945 to Bob and Betty Jenkins, the eldest of three brothers.

He married Wendy Ramsay in 1967.

Dennis died on 10 April 2021 and is buried along with his parents at the South Rhine cemetery.
