Hermine Mathilda Martha Leisfield (known as Minnie) married William Stanton on 16 April 1903 at Eden Valley Baptist Church.

Minnie was 27 years old and William was 25. Her father, August Leisfield,  was the wheelwright at the Eden Valley blacksmith shop.

William was the fourth child of Edward and Caroline Stanton and had arrived in South Australia from England with his family in 1879
when he was a baby.

Minnie and William lived at Springton and had two daughters
*   Gladys Doreen born 21 March 1904
*    Effie Jean born 27 December 1907

Minnie died prematurely on 12 March 1911 at the age of 34. She is buried in the South Rhine Cemetery adjacent to William’s mother Caroline.
